Go get QB Ian Book in the late rounds. He's going to be a steal. Very good composure and quick feet. A lot like vintage Jake Plummer, and maybe better. Spend the early picks on defense and then pick up a good RB or TE that falls (both those positions are quite deep this year)

Deonte Harris is our burner. We have two arms to can reach him too.

We need the o line and d line to be more dominant

Saints to acquire compensatory draft picks once Falcons hire Terry Fontenot:https://saintswire.usatoday.com/2021...erry-fontenot/

It’s going to be tough for the New Orleans Saints front office to absorb the loss of personnel executive Terry Fontenot, but his rise to become the next Atlanta Falcons general manager does bring a slight silver lining: several compensatory draft picks.
Because the NFL implemented a new incentive to its minority candidates hiring policy, teams that lose those candidates to head coach or general manager positions will received two third-round draft picks in the next two years. It’s a way of encouraging teams to develop more prospects for other franchises to consider. Fontenot, who is Black, qualifies the Saints for that bonus.
For New Orleans, that means an extra third rounder in both 2021 and 2022. The Saints are also expected to receive a 2021 third-round comp pick after Teddy Bridgewater signed with the Carolina Panthers last offseason. After trading their own initial pick in that round (which would have slotted in around No. 84), they’ll instead be making selections at the end of it, near pick No. 100. The exact draft order will be announced later this offseason.

With our current situation I don’t see us as competitors for another 4-5 years minimum regardless of who we have at Qb. I don’t know if we can kick any more money down the road.

Better figure out something within the next 2 years because we will be rebuilding in 4-5 after losing Kamara and Thomas by then.

It amuses me that the Saints will get extra draft picks from two of their division rivals. And that they'll get two 3rd round picks from their most hated rival is just...precious.

Well, they're compensatory picks, so the Saints get them because of team X not from team X - there's a difference.
