Yeah they can have Dan Campbell
You'd think when you get hired to the be main man, you'd speak from a place of gratitude. Or project some composure and confidence. I think you'd tend to save the rant for when, I don't know, your traditionally disappointing new team plays like garbage and you have a crushing loss.
Skip to 0:55 Dodged a bullet getting this whacko off the Saints payroll. A very positive off-season move. |
Re: Yeah they can have Dan Campbell
Lol I get what he's trying to do, but yeah seems rather awkward that the first press conference he conducts, he's talking about kicking someone's teeth and biting their kneecaps.
Really an odd interview all around, not to mention that he's put "The Dude" as the sign on his office door. |

Ok

Re: Yeah they can have Dan Campbell
I wonder if we promote from within or go back to the college coaches that have done well with us? We have several positions to fill.

Re: Yeah they can have Dan Campbell
That explains why we’ve been all talk and no show the last couple years.

Re: Yeah they can have Dan Campbell
Holy Smokes, he's going to need a sheetload of Dentists to put Teeth back in the Tootheless Lions.

Exactly what I don't want in a new HC. Reminds me of Singletary when he got his HC job, lots of fire and promises at the start but when you start failing the team loses confidence in a hurry, and then you are out on your ass. I know it's Detroit but I really don't understand why all of these position coaches are getting HC jobs lately..

Re: Yeah they can have Dan Campbell
Imagine Jared Cook and this guy being in the same room...
Maybe Jared was so focused on biting his opponents knee caps, he forgot he had to catch and hold onto the ball. |
Re: Yeah they can have Dan Campbell
Tragically they had "their" coach. Jim Caldwell had them headed in the right direction. Had a winning record when fired 36 - 28 Caldwell's .563 winning percentage was the best for a Lions' head coach since Buddy Parker in the 1950s.
