If said QB was dealing with a rotator cuff injury on his throwing shoulder, recovering from 11 fractures in the rib cage, and a torn facia then even if his name was Patrick Mahomes it would be understandable.

Baloney. On 12/07/2020 you made the following statement when discussing DB#9’s health and whether he should start.

“That makes no sense. If he is healed, he is healthy. He should be as healthy as he was prior to the first game of the season with the rest.”

Bottom line, using your logic, he was fine, or they wouldn’t have started him. He just stunk up the field, and now you want to claim “injured”. His “facia” was never reported iirc, his shoulder was listed once, maybe twice again iirc, and his rib injuries were obvious and why he missed time, and the rest allowed him to heal up..., as you stated it would.

The best predictor for future behavior is past behavior..., and the two most recent seasons clearly show what the future is with DB#9 at the helm. And unfortunately now that TB in TB is beginning to gel, we won’t even have an easy Division championship as an entrance to the playoffs.

I got it. Haters gonna hate.

Obviously they started him because even hurt he was a better shot at winning than Winston. Oh, wait, you say! Winston produced our longest play for a TD! Yeah, on a trick play. Just where Taysom Hill has seen all of his limited success as a QB.

I know you can't kick Brees' ass to the curb fast enough. "Here's your parting gift, now hit the road! Buh bye!"

Has nothing to do with hate. I neither hate, nor love an athlete, or entertainer, or engineer, doctor..., etc... Simply put, they are people. And all of us have our day in the sun. The Saints are not just Drew Brees alone. There are 52 other active players on the roster. DB#9 had his chances, and he was successful in many, many ways, including winning one SuperBowl a decade ago.

Very simply, for every birth or beginning, there is a time for an ending also. We saw it, nail in the coffin, on 1/17/2021. The smaller signs have been there for several years, but the big billboard was painted just recently.

Bottom line, the man is still under contract, so if he returns and plays, I’ll still be rooting for the Saints, and hoping he does well. I’ll just know what the future will bring though..., bc of the past. But I’ll be watching, holding my breath, and hoping, lol. As Charles Barkley once quipped: “Father Time is still undefeated”. I’m a fan of the Saints, Drew Brees is very simply just a player on that roster.

The last few playoff seasons have felt like the blues music I love. Totally unfortunate yet fun.

Honestly, I'm afraid of going to the playoffs because of our recent performances and the usual graceless exit from the playoffs.
