Re: Saints Release Nick Easton
He provided some good depth, but I guess we need the cap savings.

Re: Saints Release Nick Easton
Trimming the fat and didn’t he have like three concussions this year?

and the CAP magic begins

Re: Saints Release Nick Easton
The most logical move trimming cap space. Still, he played a very valuable role. That 6th man role on the O-Line is so important with Peat and Armstead’s usual injuries.

Re: Saints Release Nick Easton
I heard they are going to move the unemployment lines to the Saints practice field anyone needs a $12 dollar an hour job can go play on the Oline for the saints this coming year.

Re: Saints Release Nick Easton
Maybe Hurst made him expendable. Well, that and the concussions. I was really surprised that he did as well as he did for us. I wish him well.

Re: Saints Release Nick Easton
Will we draft O-line in the first round again? The left side of the line is always a question mark. I hope we can re-sign Hurst. He was a nice surprise.

Re: Saints Release Nick Easton
I was hearing yesterday that we may be seeing more one year contracts than ever due to the lower cap this season. All teams will be cutting players due to the reduced cap. Those players are not going to be able to sign on elsewhere at their previous numbers since everyone in in the same boat. The stars are still going to get there's, but starting role players will be forced to accept a reduced salary and a one year deal would be the logical approach. There's going to be a lot of cut and resigns at lower rates.
