I was just reading that article! lol, Was enjoying the handful of comments wrt the Saints. Especially the “fun facts”. One of which stated that both times (2002 season and the 2020 season) the Bucs won the SB, the Saints swept them in the regular season.

Edit: corrected the spelling of “swept”, it was “wept”.

I’m going to be honest, I’m getting tired of our fan base using stuff like this to act like we’re the better team.

So what! Saints beat them twice and won the division and the Buc's got the Lombardi trophy and the last laugh.

Makes me not want to celebrate any regular season win, or even remotely get excited if we look good. Ultimately, it means nothing at all.

Not me. I'll continue to enjoy every win and any time we look good. If being happy only comes down to winning the Super Bowl then you are setting yourself up for long term failure. Only one of 32 teams have that chance any given year. Some teams never have that chance. Winning it all is a cherry on top. But I celebrate every tiny success every season.

I hate to say it but you’re right bro. Until Payton and his minions can coach up our team to get by the first round in the playoffs and stop living off 2009 then the regular season means little to me.

Yea well we lost the one that counts so there’s that.
Watch us go 16-0 next year and nobody give a ****.

Definitely, especially if you're a fan of ol one and done SP. You Definitely want to enjoy those regilar season wins. I mean he is the regular season champ. Then post season there are bunch of excuses, but yeah if you're looking for a good time and no championships this the team and thats the mindset. Shame noodle arm ia retirning, i know Malcolm is sad.

Meaningless

Sorry to pour water on it but it's a pointless statistic, bridesmaid talk. When the chips where down they won.

I’d rather start 1-5 than 5-1 and fold

Since Drew started to decline three years back I steadily became more apprehensive like I was before 2006 when Sean and Drew started making magic happen.

I remember before that sitting next to guys who wore bags on their heads at the Dome. I'm apprehensive again. There are too many variables in a usually steady off season. Are we retooling or rebuilding? Who are we going to lose? How many core players are gone? How much do we have to give up to get under under the cap? Who will fill theses position coaches next year when we get poached again? How many draft picks will we lose? We've got a lot of unknowns in play.

If we can keep the defense from coming apart to much we be fine in department. And the offense can’t be worst than what we finished with so I’m optimistic . Looking forward

A coaching shakeup is good. Who misses Joe Vitt?*

He was reunited with good ole hit man "GW" with the Jets. No WONDER!!!

Was that the latter part of 1980 or the beginning of 1981? That's when Buddy 'D' had that smattering of fans hoodwinked into wearing bags. 99.9% of the fans were there just to watch their Saints play, win or lose. That small percentage wanted airtime on the evening sports segment with Buddy's campaign.

Maybe we should make a bill board for that 38-3 loss and put it up in Tampa just to keep things fair.
