In Golf the Guy is an amazing driver but not so good of a driver behind the wheel.

It now appears the damage was only to his right leg. I've read the surgery was successful and a rod has been placed in his tibia to stabilize those fractures and pins and plates are stabilizing his ankle and foot.

I watched all his interviews during golf coverage and he looked absolutely fine to me. Not sure where you are getting that he looked "stoned". By the way, they are saying that there were no signs at all of any impairment. He was simply driving on a dangerous stretch of that road that has produced a high number of speed related accidents.

They said he was acting very irritated when leaving the hotel. They probably screwed up his wake-up call or something.

Drew has probably already been to the hospital to see him. Drew can still give him golf lessons later.

Tiger's quite lucky he didn't hit anyone else head-on after crossing the median before crashing. This could have been so much worse.

Apparently accidents at this location are fairly common. You'd think they'd do something to prevent the same from constantly happening. Perhaps speed bumps.

And looking at the front end of that SUV I doubt a head-on collision would have been anymore damaging.

I find it hard to believe Tiger Woods relies on a wake up call. That stuff went out in the 90’s. Most people had cell phones by then, especially a rich dude like Tiger.

As for his appearance in that interview with Jim Nance, you do realize he was on his fifth day of acting as host for the tournament which the day before had been suspended for several hours due to heavy winds and was forced to finish the third round in the wee hours of that morning before starting the final round, right? The guy was non-stop making appearances for the entire week. Anyone would be a bit bedraggled at that point. Stoned looking? No, I didn't see it. Worse for wear? Of course. That is to be expected under those circumstances.

But, if that is how you define stoned looking then, fine. I simply understood the context and concluded something far more plausible.

Oh, and I didn't need to go to youtube. We watched every minute of the coverage on golf network and CBS, especially since hometown boy Sam Burns had the lead in every round. We always watch golf except when NFL is on during the season.

I never said it WAS a missed wake up call. I said something like that could have happened. It could have been the valet taking too long to get his car. It could have been delays at breakfast. It could have been any number of things. I was just saying he was described as being very irritated at something when he rushed off that morning. Irritation is usually triggered by something, right?

Oh, and we use wake up calls on board ship whenever we have somewhere to be at port at a specific time in the morning. It is far more common than you might imagine.

About me? No. That never entered my mind. Not sure where you got that idea. I've been betting you had bet someone that Tiger was intoxicated. Right? If so you are loaded with a blank. LOL. Not only did the Sherriff's office say that there were no signs at all of impairment, but that there would be the routine toxicology examines that accompany all accidents at the hospital. The announcement yesterday was that the accident was indeed just that and there no charges warranted.

L.A. County Sheriff: Tiger Woods not expected to face charges

Tiger Woods is not expected to face any charges in relation to his single-car rollover accident Tuesday, Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said.

Villanueva provided an update on Wednesday from his office, stating, “We don’t contemplate any charges whatsoever in this crash. This remains an accident. Accident is not a crime. They do happen, unfortunately.”

Villanueva reiterated that there was no reason to expect alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash and that no blood samples were drawn by investigators. If the hospital where Woods is being treated does a toxicology report, Villanueva said his department would need a search warrant in order to access it.

A search warrant would also be needed to access Woods’ phone records, the sheriff added, if investigators wanted to see if Woods might have been distracted by phone use. The initial officer on site, Sheriff's deputy Carlos Gonzalez, is filing the traffic report, according to Villanueva, and “has all the information he needs from Mr. Woods.”

Doc explains Tiger's surgery, possible recovery
BY GOLF CHANNEL DIGITAL — FEBRUARY 24, 2021 AT 11:42 AM
Dr. John Torres, NBC News’ medical correspondent, joined “Golf Today” to provide insight into Tiger's surgery and possible recovery.

The sheriff added that they have yet to determine if the 2021 Genesis SUV was equipped with a black box which might indicate the rate of speed at which Woods was travelling at the time of the crash. He also stated that there have been 13 accidents, including four injuries over the last 14 months along the stretch of road where Woods' incident occurred.

Tiger Woods' crash was ‘purely an accident,’ according to police

Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva confirmed that the golf pro was "not drunk" behind the wheel during the car accident that left him seriously injured on Tuesday morning. Woods will not face criminal charges. Woods underwent surgery after suffering “multiple leg injuries,” according to his agent. An official statement on Woods' condition said, “He is currently awake, responsive and recovering in his hospital room."

If he was a poor white/black guy that lived in a trailer park they would have drawn blood . If he crashed in Louisiana they would have drawn blood. Any type of property damage they would have drawn blood. But the Tigs is okay I’m ok

They always draw blood. It's a hospital. I know quit a bit about hospitals from my background. If there was any indication of alcohol, or anything else, and you have a person going into surgery you want to know. You draw blood. D'uh!

If they had found anything they would have let authorities know. Then authorities would be obligated to get a subpoena to prosecute.
