I have nothing against MW, but although he really flashes at times in coverage - he does misread routes, he takes bad angles and he is a sub-par tackler. I have no doubt he might leave and blossom in another system, and make us all curse the day he left (i.e. Jenkins), but I'd be comfortable in looking at the draft to replace him. I'd rather keep CJGJ between the two, because I think his skillset is more unique, and his play has more impact on the way the defense plays overall. Salary cap means you can't keep all the players you would like to without having to make sacrifices in other parts of the roster. |

If I'm GM, I want a shut-down corner and a safety with range; so I'd not balk at paying Lattimore and Marcus top five money at their respective position... Fans like to really point out his bad plays, which you can count on one hand; and they often forget the days of giving of 3rd and 18 regularly; Jairus Byrd? Pay Marcus who's still very young, only 25yo, and know you only need a SS or a CB2 to have an amazing secondary; cut Jenkins who's been a liability in coverage... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
