Lions Signed Analzone, Would They Want Peat?
How was Dan Campbell's relationship with Peat? Was he a proponent of the extension? Maybe we could put together a Brock Osweiler type deal that sends Peat to the Lions.

Good luck with that! I mean, seriously. I would hope that they are that stupid.

Same as Analzone. Wherever you would have got his replacement anyway when he got hurt. He has never played 16 games.

The benefits of trading Andrus Peat are negative.
As SFIAH advised in a previous post, it will cost more to trade than to keep him. See overthecap figures below - https://overthecap.com/player/andrus-peat/3861/ |

Re: Lions Signed Analzone, Would They Want Peat?
Over the cap says a post june 1 trade of peat would save us 1 million. Thats 1 million that can go to whatever free agent addition will play when peat gets hurt anyway. The Lions wanted Analzone, so I could imagine they could want peat.

Dead cap we currently have is over $22.6M. 5th worse in the league..., but that’s without DB#9’s post 6/1 dead money hit which is an additional $12+M. Dead money reduces our current cap ceiling. You make that trade and we’ll be in the neighborhood of a $40M dead money cap reduction, post 6/1. For reference, that’s roughly 22% of our cap ceiling reduced, inclusive of that trade scenario. I’m just not a fan of reducing my cap by $4.6M to free up $1M immediately. |
