Mayor Cantrell 'hopeful' about full attendance at Saints home games in the fall
Will the Mercedes-Benz Superdome be at full capacity when the New Orleans Saints start the 2021 season?
New Orleans mayor LaToya Cantrell seems optimistic. "I absolutely feel that we are on track for that and I’m hopeful," Cantrell said. "I really am." Cantrell spoke to media members on Tuesday during an event about the NCAA men's basketball tournament Final Four, which will be held in New Orleans in 2022. Afterward, she spoke briefly about the NFL season, which is just five months away. https://bloximages.newyork1.vip.town...ize=1476%2C920 NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said in late March that he expects stadiums to be full in the fall, unlike this past season when COVID-19 mitigation efforts limited attendance throughout the league. "It's never too early to hope," Cantrell said. "That hope needs to translate into action. That action is getting fully vaccinated. While we are doing very well in that, we are going to continue on that path and trend. Again, going to where our people are so that we can be the safest place to live as well as visit. So we're ready." |

Should be opened up. A lot of vaccines being given out over here. Less COVID patients in the ICU.

Re: Mayor Cantrell 'hopeful' about full attendance at Saints home games in the fall
Get your shots and go to the games! The more people who get shots the less Covid we'll have and we can open The Caesar's Super Dome and New Orleans. If we continue like we have been with injections we'll be there to support our Saints.

I’ve received my first shot. I recommend people get their vaccinations. That being said, requiring people to prove their status before being allowed to participate in society is a very bad idea IMO. I really don’t want to go into specifics and get into a long debate about this. Just my 2 cents.

And what about vaccinations required for school attendance? Vaccines required for day care, pre-K, and school attendance Diphtheria and Tetanus toxoid-containing vaccine and Pertussis vaccine (DTaP or Tdap) Hepatitis B vaccine. Measles, Mumps and Rubella vaccine (MMR) Polio vaccine. Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccine. None of those compare to Holocaust. Drop the drama. :D |

I have heard for the past year the arguments being made, and rightfully so, that deaths are being contributed to COVID-19 based solely on the existence of the antibodies, when other factors were most likely to blame. Now, under the extremely rare instance when someone passes after getting the vaccine that same constituent is declaring that the vaccine was the cause of the death. They can't have it both ways. Yes, the vaccine can properly create a reaction within the body. This is how vaccines work. Is there a small degree of risk? Sure, but that's why the individual signs the release. This is true with all vaccines. Once again, I am sorry for your losses, JP. |

I’m not getting the vaccine unless the facilities start demanding we get it. I’ve been into enough COVID isolations rooms to where I should be immune to the **** by now. 😂

Hard to blame some for vaccine skepticism when powerful play politics with our lives.

Re: Mayor Cantrell 'hopeful' about full attendance at Saints home games in the fall
For me, it’s very simple. I’ve been as close as one can get to another person for an extended period of time (>10 days of my Covid positive gf sneezing and slobbering all over me, while in the same bed) and I couldn’t get it. I’ve actually tried to get it from someone who was positive, couldn’t do it. Still, to this day, I don’t have the antibodies, nor have ever been positive.
Why should I get the shot? What benefit does it do for me, or for anybody else? Basically, I would be getting a shot to alleviate random societal “concerns” of something that can’t possibly happen. Bottom line wrt the Vaccine: 1) There is no benefit to me. 2) There is no benefit to anyone else either for me to get the vaccine. 3) I’ve been in constant comms with my PCM and she repeats two things to me all the time. They are: a). “Some people can’t get it, nor pass it to others.” b). “I don’t know the answers to any of your direct questions.” For me personally, I have zero skepticism wrt the vaccine. I consider it to be invaluable to the elderly or those with autoimmune disorders. But, otherwise healthy folks? Until someone can answer the many, MANY questions I have, there just isn’t a reason for healthy folks like me to get the vaccine. Full disclosure. I’m the youngest of five children, and they’re all over the age of 55 and my gf has lupus, but already has the antibodies. I’ve recommended that they all get the vaccination if their age or medical history dictates a need, and their Primary Care doc says it’s a must. And they ALL have. I however have zero intent to get it, and I get monthly calls from the VA trying to schedule it for me. I ignore them, 100%. To each their own, srsly, get it if you need it. If not, I’ll still shake your hand and get close to you as if nothing has ever happened. |
Re: Mayor Cantrell 'hopeful' about full attendance at Saints home games in the fall
The same people who who bent over backwards to cast doubt on the creation, efficacy and implementation of a vaccine program are now lauding their own "efforts" while at the same time, travelling city to city to spread the good word on why this vaccine is essential to all.
If you can't smell the BS, you need a new nose. That said, I'm one Moderna shot in. My wife is immunocompromised. I wear a mask indoors for safety and courtesy to others. I also do the following which our fearless leaders have yet to promote: - Daily vitamin regemin - Daily excercise - Limit processed foods and sugars - Limit soda Where is fail is the alcohol. :) |
