Practice Squad Players Who Belong On The The Final 53

Who Do You Think Will Be Elevated From The Practice Squad This Season? We had several people step up last year. Did any of them impress you enough to make the cuts?

We have so many holes to fill that I feel like this can be a big year to elevate some of the practice Squad. Who do you like the most?

We don’t have a practice squad for like 5 months.

I would imagine a lot more than we would like.

Guys who were on the practice squad last year who I like to make some noise in camp?

Well Chase Hansen made the active roster initially, but was put on the practice squad for a weeks end of last season with a couple activations...

He was more of they call a star backer in college (linebacker/safety) who showed ability to run, make plays...

He's someone I'd brought up on the Roster Outlook thread...

On offense, like Calvin Throckmorton to make the active roster; can see CT pushing the Popeye's Chicken Sammiches Spokesman for PT at LG...

Generally unless it a specific person that a team is tryin to hide on a practice squad, that is a collection of warm bodies. Other teams look through the squads when the have injury to see what is there.

They are also paid weekly. This year a team can designate four players every week that are protected from being signed by other teams. This protection starts on Tuesday each week, so every practice squad player is still available to be signed to the regular roster of another team after their team’s game that week until the deadline on Tuesday.

All good points gentlemen. I realize no that no one is on the PS squad now. But there were several players bouncing back and forth and I was looking for someone to breakdown who they like and why. Please educate me. I'm a fanatic looking for help from other fans.

Knowledge is power and I like to sound knowledgeable. Ha! :p

Few are as good as the Saints at red-shirting developmental players as the Saints are...

Will say, as of late, we've not been as good; examples include, Arthur Maulet, Joe Bachie, Devine Ozigbo, Jake Kumerow, Tommy Kelly, John LeGlue, Al-Quadin Muhammad...

Calvin Throckmorton if anything... just for the name. But he might actually be decent.
