Moving things along... with the 8th pick the Carolina Panthers select OT Rashawn Slater.

The Panthers spent considerable resources on the defense in last year’s draft and this offseason. Now with Sam Darnold in the mix the Panthers would be wise to keep him from “seeing ghosts” like he did in NY.

The Cowboys are in dire need of several cogs. TE was one, but the only viable early option went to the Lions in Pitts. Most of the other missing pieces remaining are on defense and with the tenth pick in the draft Dallas will fill one of those holes with the second defensive player off the board ...

Tough spot for the Eagles to be in. They really needed one of the blue chip WR’s but there are none available. So instead, we’re going to bolster the secondary and choose someone to pair with Darius Slay.

Seriously? Had my write up done how the Vikes have needed a guard for Dalvin Cook like Hutchinson was for Peterson...

And that a good running offense was the best defense...

And how Mike Zemmer was not like other coaches who'd likely go with their specialty and get a DE for his defense instead he'd do the right thing by the team...

Well, Zemmer starts the new generation of Purple People Eaters and selects Penn State DE Kwity Paye...

Paye is a big side DE that'll pair with a recovered Danielle Hunter as 3 sacks from the stand-in is going to cut it...

Rashawn Slater would make a bigger need, but Kwity Paye will be there to punish Rodgers...

And Zem likes to punish QBs...
