Well Latt won’t be playing this year, perhaps ever again depending on how much time he does so I’m not as confident as you.

Ceedy is okay, not worth top30 DB money right now but he’ll be able to prove himself.

Being the highest paid defensive back in the league doesn’t just come with being a shut down defensive back, the league has a few of those. That goal requires you to be a game changer.. E.G. interceptions and CGJ isn’t going to get there with his historical 1 per season.

True, but he's getting better, a lot better. And the way he mouths off at opposing WRs, he does a good job at getting them off of their game. This is his year to shine. We'll see if he deserves more $ than Williams.

Latt will play this season … surely he'll miss a few games (felony)but you will see him in 2021 on those boundaries for the B&G. I'm still hopeful we go corner with our 1st pick in the draft on next Thursday.

That felony will cost Lattimore millions of dollars though :(.

Remember when Bird Man was with the Hornets and he wanted to be the highest paid big man in the NBA due to being a colorful defensive role player? Oh yeah, maybe not, but he always liked to keep things grounded. I mean look, Ceedy has been great for us, as an all around solid safety who gets in his opponents heads. But he is not a game dominating force at safety, and even if he were, it would be at safety which is not a game dominating position and can be prone to injury. We may have none of our starting corners back this year, and less pass rush, which will make it hard to excel as a safety. He is a good player, but I would not have agreed with making Mathieu, Polamalu, Berry, etc the highest paid DB at their peak, and he is not on that level yet.

In no way did I mean to take anything away from him, it is just that highest paid at a position in this league is a next level discussion and take more than just great play.

That said, Loomis randomly loves to pay players more than any other team in the league so why the hell not lol. :smokin:

True Dat. However, the league is passing a new taunting law and he might possibly cost us to see more penalties each game. I'm pretty sure that Roger Godhell found a new way to go after the Saints and it looks OK to the rest of the league.
