Re: NFL Draft First Round Watch Party Mega-Thread
As you can tell by me not posting until now, I literally turned off the TV and went to bed after this pick.
Do not feel better about it this morning, despite these "high-riser" reports. |

The list of players that were “freak” athletic specimens that didn’t make it in the league is very long I’m sure. I’ll start with JaMarcus Russell.

Guy has been extremely underwhelming. For the phenom athlete he was pegged to be, he has not lived up to any kind of hype. 12 sacks in 37 games, roughly 1 every 3 games, which makes around 5 sacks a season. Not the guy that 2 first round picks should be spent on. |

Re: NFL Draft First Round Watch Party Mega-Thread
You want him to be better than Davenport, not another one. No matter how you want to slice it, he's underwhelmed since he's been here. That doesn't mean he can't still be a very good player, but he needs to stay healthy and produce. Cost and production hasn't added up and that's reality.
I think it's great you're an overly optimistic Saints fan Guido but sure do **** out some rainbows. |

From reading up on Turner, he started off at DT then transitioned to DE. Guy can play both positions. Key word here is versatility … considering we lost Sheldon, Brown & Hendrickson. |
Re: NFL Draft First Round Watch Party Mega-Thread
Davenport is entering his 4th year in and its still he's is a Athletic freak,if he can just stay healthy.
He can't do much about when he is drafted but he cost Two 1sts and 5th. And he is still talked about as a raw prospect. For that capital you want someone who is getting you at least close to double digit sacks each year. He looked like he was progressing from his rookie to second year and then took a massive step back. They have now guaranteed him his 5th year option that what makes the pick last night so puzzling unless they are thinking of cutting Cam next offseason |

Well, given the fact that the two firsts were both at the tail-end of the round the value of the two scenarios are virtually identical. I keep hearing "two 1st round picks". They are not much different than two high 2nd rounders. |

I'm making a bold prediction for our next pick. My prediction is that many of y'all will be pissed off.
There it is. :D |
Re: NFL Draft First Round Watch Party Mega-Thread

Re: NFL Draft First Round Watch Party Mega-Thread

I'll guess Molden or Mills so it'll probably be some random Division 2 player.

Re: NFL Draft First Round Watch Party Mega-Thread
Panthers.
Saints. Up next . Okok. |
Re: NFL Draft First Round Watch Party Mega-Thread
There goes Marshall
Another big WR in the division. Got to be Jabril Cox or a CB here. Or possibly Nixon to sure up the line Im guessing Kwon will be back, but little depth there or CB |
