I disagree with Florio. I dont think every coach needs to mistrust all their doctors and get 5th opinions on every call, or else they would also sign every player who stays hurt but has potential. I think all coaches can do is give doctors the benefit of the doubt but start to get second opinions or cut them loose if the doctors are wrong too often or wont clear anyone. Maybe Saban listened to the doctors day brees would never play again, they they said Culpepper was badly hurt too, and he Saban did start over ruling them, but just his timing was bad like the villagers in the story of the boy who cried wolf. I think the best coaches listen to doctors but try to get the best doctors and switch up if their doctors miss too much. Payton found doctors who would clear everyone, and that helped with getting brees, but maybe got us too many glass players that held brees back from repeating.
