JP you are the poster child for WhoDats, NOLA, B&G, and Coonazzes worldwide. (I am, in spirit.) Your avatar is iconic, also.

I always thought it was racial. My hs nickname was "Pedro," if that tells you anything.

No, yours is good, too. I like when I run into someone who's email or license, etc tips me off to who they really are. : ) I'm the guy at the office, who, you find a Saints coffee cup in the kitchen, and everyone knows exactly who it belongs to.

Remember that well. You and FF were the reason I switched to this site.

Somebody else noticed all the old guys here. There should be a special badge.

Re: Defend Your Handle Part II

Been a member since 2007 after finding the site on the web. Moved to Texas in 1991 and always had trouble finding places to watch and talk Saints. This site introduced me to some great friends here in Texas. As far as my handle goes, it's pretty self explanatory, I've drank quite a few Buds in the past 40 years and figured it was easy to remember.

Re: Defend Your Handle Part II

What an awesome thread!

I was on another board for a few years and ended up getting blocked for being "too negative and critical of the team". I had to laugh when I read the message and realized those folks lived in a dream bubble of unicorn milk and pots of gold, not in the real world.

I cracked open a cold beer and sat down at the computer to find a new home for discussions with other WhoDats. It just happened to be an Abita TurboDog. When I created my account here, that became my screen name. I've honestly regretted that it wasn't something more related to the team, but c'est la vie.

I'm not as active as I was in the early days, I read more than I write. This has been such a better environment than that other site! Props to everyone involved in running B&G. And thanks to all those who have agreed, disagreed, argued, cried, laughed, mourned, and celebrated with me here in our virtual gathering spot.

I think Turbo Dog is a great Saints-related name. Makes perfect sense to me.
