Kwon Alexander Visiting Saints

Rugby Saint II 07-21-2021 10:58 AM

Re: Kwon Alexander Visiting Saints

Bring him back and let the young guys get the TC reps. He already knows and excels in the system. Also, when and if he goes down the young guns will be ready to step in. He makes us better. Sign him now even if he's not 100% and give him plenty of time to heal. Even if he doesn't start the season he is great insurance.

FWIW Kwon wants to be back with New Orleans.

I’m amazed how quickly he returned from that injury though. It appears his movements, burst are back to 100.

Demario, Kwon, Baun, Werner … on paper that’s a very encouraging group of linebackers.

Sounds like a successful 3-4 defense. 👀

We've not had that kind of depth since the Dome Patrol days...

We're either brining him back or we're researching a new team surgeon!

Re: Kwon Alexander Visiting Saints

I'd love to have him back, when he was on the field it was like having two Demarios buuuuut he's been hurt a lot. Out of six seasons he's only played 16 games once. Depends on the terms of the contract and who we have to fill in for him if needed.

He is a difference maker. Even if it's just for a few games.

Resigns with the Saints.

Per Adam Schefner.

I would say let the damn young LB’s get their playing time but Kwon’s only played more than 12 games once in his six years as a pro so they’ll still get their chance.

I approve. Also, maybe the whining will stop around here, but I doubt it.

We'll let you whine, it's ok.

The whining won't stop. They'll find anything to agonize over. It's how they roll, my friend. Misery is a comfort I guess.

Lol. Come on Ty, I'd love to see some evidence of me whining. I admit, I've trolled a few on here, but it was warranted.

Re: Kwon Alexander Visiting Saints

This signing is huge, now we can bring along Baun and Werner at a comfortable pace and develop them properly. Demario and Kwon is a very sturdy LB tandem for today's NFL.

Re: Kwon Alexander Visiting Saints

Maybe this could lead to a shift to playing more 3 (maybe even 4) LB sets. Especially until some of the defensive players serve their suspensions and the #2 CB spot gets settled.

It's what the offense puts on the field, and if it's 3WR sets, you better be in nickel...

Achilles injuries/rehab are no joke. Even for NFL level players.

Good luck sir :bng:
