In addition:

Who steps up for Onyemata?
Baun v Werner
Tight End: Trautman and then....who?

Oh man, we've got quite the mess to clean up. Not having MT is going to be a tough pill to swallow. Ruiz needs to move to center because he also has the potential to be a damn fine center but he's undersized which is OK for a center but not a guard. McCoy would also make a damn fine guard who actually has the size and experience to play guard in the NFL

Keep the hungriest four big uglies and keep five DEs (Cam, Davenport, Granderson, Turner, Kpassagnon...

Could even trade Kpassagnon for a DT...

Sign LB Kwon Alexander and keep Demario, Kwon, Hansen, Ellis, Baun, Werner...

Sign Golden Tate...

This guy ^^ has been a Saints KILLER over the years.

You think the Saints front office even called? I think Tate's price tag will be too steep for the black and gold.

Tate is likely asking for more to attend training camp, and his price will come down as season begins...

The whole squad picks it up for Onyemata.

Both Baun and Werner.

Trautman and Taysom Hill at TE.

I'll bet they called everyone and everyone called them. It's called due diligence. I doubt there's a GM or agent that leaves any stone unturned. or they'd be gone soon.

It all comes down to taking two partners to dance.

Very aware of due dilligence and as far as "called everyone", that's not always accurate AG. Ask the Honey Badger about a "call".

Big Part of who signs is the agent, agency that represents the player...

GM/HCs get cross or get comfortable working with certain agents, agencies...

I'm not talking about players. I specifically said that "I doubt there's a GM or agent that leaves any stone unturned". Mathieu's agent is Tom Condon and I seriously doubt that Condon did not contact every possible landing spot for his client that didn't contact him. The player isn't going to be aware every every single call his agent makes or fields. I don't doubt that he wasn't directly contacted by the Saints, especially if any preliminary call went nowhere.

Mathieu and Brees are both represented by Tom Condon. For that matter so is Malcolm Jenkins. I'm pretty sure they are quite comfortable working together. Sending Mathieu to the Chiefs and Jenkins to the Saints probably maximized the money going into Condon's wallet.

Agree. I wanted us to sign him each of the last two offseasons.

(RG) Ruiz, (TE) Trautman & WR battles as well.

My camp darkhorse is still Kawaan Baker - with MT out, he'll get more opportunities to shine with the 1st/2nd teams.

Defensively, who will run alongside Demario Davis at LB?

Let's see if Lorenzo Neal Jr can make this team.

What doesn't kill ya makes you stronger; Cooks or Tate, either would be the WRz we need opposite Callaway (until @CantGuardMike gets back)...
