Winston wins a tie ?

Everything we have been seeing out of camp is as far as on QB play they are both pretty much even good/bad results.
So if neither catch fire and the play stays even does Winston get the nod so Hill can still be used is his gadget role or does Hill get it so they can make use of his mobility more? I'm betting the former.

Winston behind center and Hill being the swiss army knife is the most hopeful situation. If Winston falters, hopefully Book has some positive development or we have a high draft pick.

That's my take. Except I believe that Payton had already decided who was going to be the starter.

Coach is probably busy writing the new Fungo playbook for the QB's, I suspect we will see nothing but Razzle Dazzle all season.
Clip from Sean's favorite movie..

Excellent movie and play.

Let’s see what Jameis does in Preseason game(s). He’s had a year in the system & got to sit behind one of the best ever.

Really anxious to see what progress he’s made (if any).

Winston and Hill would have to be absolutely abysmal before you see Ian Book in 2021. Hopefully he (Book) shows enough to send Trevor Seimian packing.

I don't think what either Hill or Winston does in preseason games will have any impact on the final decision. You know as well as I that those games are so vanilla that nothing can be gained through true evaluation unless it comes through total ineptitude.

Oh, and I expect Trevor Seimian already has his bags packed unless we trade either Winston or Hill at the last minute. Doubt that, but throwing it out there.

Saints QB Jameis Winston on benefits of off-season LASIK eye surgery: 'I can read street signs (now)'
Lets hope that the eye surgery does the trick and that he can see black & gold receivers.

I played rugby without contacts. It's tough to play sports when you you can't see more than three feet in front of you. I have coke bottles for glasses and can attest to not seeing well really affects your game.

Get the eye surgery done if you can Rugs! I had it done 20 years ago and it changed my life!

I should clarify that I have played rugby before without contacts if they were knocked out or left on the bathroom counter. I didn't play without them often.

My twin brother has given me one of his contacts on the field because I lost them. It wasn't 20/20 but it was better than not being able to see well. Boston just talked me into Lasik.

If you are a good candidate it’s a no brainer to me. I was about - 4.5 persciption in both eyes. I couldn’t see my fingernails if I held them out at arms length without my glasses. It Turned me better than 20/20 for about 10 years and I still pass the drivers test without glasses now.

The drawback for me would be the need for reading glasses. I have to use a distance and a close up contact so I don't need reading glasses. My doctor said I would be a prime candidate for the surgery, but I would definitely need the glasses for close-up vision. Not worth it to me.
