New Orleans Saints kicker Wil Lutz is being evaluated for core muscle injury that could require surgery, which would sideline him for eight or more weeks, according to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

Lutz left practice early Saturday and did not return.

They said he left practice and didn't return. The core is used greatly in kicking. He must have torn something.

I remember Brett while playing up here @ Deathstar. Big leg but inaccurate.

Hopefully Lutz rehab goes well and we get him back sooner than later.

I've torn my my core muscles before and it hurts like hell. I just don't want to rush him back too quickly and have him tear it again.
