That almost reads like common sense. Get Thomas back on the field. Let's get through this season. Then decide if the production is worth the remaining dollars to be paid.

This does make sense as long as MT comes in with a positive attitude.

Apparently Thomas and Payton have been talking things through and things are no where near as dire as the press makes it out to be. Par for the course.

I figured as much. It's too easy to bring out the doom and gloom in folks. I don't see this situation as bad as the Pack and Rodgers. The hate for Thomas is comical seeing as though we STILL don't know the whole story.

"Thomas and Saints head coach Sean Payton have had positive talks and are not seeking a split"

Honestly a positive attitude has little to do with it. It's football, not patty cake. As long as Thomas is available, producing, and not disrupting the locker room, it should be all good.

Meeting > Tweeting. That's for darn sure.

No matter how you slice it, the decision to not have surgery after last year week 1 - regardless of how you divvy up the blame for that - is already one of the most costly decisions in not just the Payton era, but in franchise history.

It was foolish for Thomas to break communication with the team. His decision really left New Orleans in a tight spot. I hope that he doesn't become a full blown diva who puts himself before the team.
