Well, got power today...

Comms is another story - the cable techs on Main Street and Park Avenue didn't have a clue where to start...

Now the Linesmen for the utilities, especially those from Georgia and Oklahoma that I witnessed, showed up and tore through projects like a pack of raptors...

Min. 16 hr work days, short breaks, folks handing 'em plate lunches, ate in their buckets, leaning on a truck, in unforgiving, Apocalypse Now, mind-altering tropical heat...

The cable guys walked around rudderless with no clue where to start, but they knew where to go for lunch...

And then there's our parish government - an absolute clown show, but an improvement over the state, feds, and non-profit pros (Red Cross/UA)...

Their first priority is setting up their private refreshment tent with Fiji water and fresh fruit while they hand out Grandma's Purified Bath Water and Govt Cheese...

If it wasn't for the Veterans' and Churches, folks down here would've been F'ed...

Pray they get cable up soon so I can view the game, interact live, but from what I saw, be luck if I get to watch the Saints Homecoming in a few weeks...

Come watch the game with me. I'm buying lunch. It won't be Popeyes though. I live in Alabama and we don't have one. What the hell. I'll sweeten the deal and buy beers too. :cheers: Come on over jp.

Closest Popeyes open here, 20 min away, that is partially staffed is open 12-7pm (now extended hours?!?), and they're are six in between still shuddered...

Cher, if I could show, I'd be bringing Yuengling Lager, Meat (not protein, but Meat), and the Grille; You guys are the best...

They'd better get the clinics and hospitals open soon; they're lot of folks here who need medical maintenance and the Feds are just touring New Orleans?!?

Fell twice in the dark (old, but not that f*cking old); have busted shins and ribs and now via triage was told I've an infection that should be treated...

Where says I; the PA shrugged and New Orleans, since they're getting all the attention; and folks not familiar with the situation wonder Why?...

Man, that's too bad Bud. I hope that you are able to get that infection looked at soon. The hospitals are working in Baldwin County and the offer for beers and food is still open. Come on over.
