Got it figured out now. And LE confided a few details of what I should be vigilant (grew up with several of them); will get some sleep tonight...

As I shoot regularly, practice situational defense, to reduce panic, hoping it won't come to my having to put someone down, really don't want it...

But, there's markers in my mind that triggered, they brought the consequences upon themselves - worst part, profiles shared with me, they're not even desperate...
