Think a lot of us have been saying this for a while.

Brees in his prime, turned a bunch of unwanted Receivers into basically all pro's and Saints Legends. Ever since then, I think Payton sees that position as not needed as much so chooses to address it via UDFA.

Now we don't have that level of QB, that sort of thought process won't help Jameis out at all.

Well when you ignore drafting @ WR for 3 consecutive seasons, this is often the end result at this level. Way too many undrafted guys at WR on this roster for my taste.

I'm hopeful Kenny Stills can take some heat off Callaway until Mike returns.

The Saints being currently ranked #32 in passing yards is something you never see in a Sean Payton offense.

I don't understand that either, K. With Brees they got Sanders to take pressure off MT and help Brees out. Why would they not do that for Jameis or Taysom knowing they aren’t at that level. I would of traded up in that draft in the second and got Marshall. Did they seriously think Tre’Quan could be trusted to play 17 games? That’s a lot of misplaced trust

Not only the injury factor either, Trequan is not someone that you could think "yeah he'll bail Winston out when he's in trouble."

Guy has like 1 or 2 decent games a year. The rest he's either injured or invisible.

Seems like Winston isn't set up for success with a bad O line and no talent at WR.

Sanders could of been that guy they hoped Quan could be. I don’t know if they even tried to resign him to a decent contract if he wanted to stay. From what I heard MT delaying the surgery hurt us a lot. He was supposed to be ready week 1. That’s why CSP was so pissed, cause it threw a major monkey wrench in the offense. I’ll say this though I still wouldn't of been sold on Quan as our no. 2

Agreed, even if Trequan was healthy, Callaway and Harris are above him in terms of talent in my opinion.

The o-line isn't bad. 80% of the league would give their right nut to have the Saints offensive line.

Callaway is naturally a no. 3 but if you got a MT or Hopkins type guy that no matter how many people covering them, they still get separation and make tough catches. He can be a ok to decent no. 2

Always lots of WR's in the 3rd-5th round who can play, but we rarely seem to
get one - usually because of lack of picks due to trading up
