New Saints Stadium?
 

This poll is just for fun. Certainly there are many variables, pros and cons in stadium matters. For the sake of this poll, let's assume all locations somewhat viable.

Tough call -- I remember going to the games at Tulane stadium (yeah Im that old) and loved it being in the middle of uptown. Gave it a certain charm -- but I have to vote riverfront -- tear down some of the warehouses on Tchop. street and build it there -- it can still be lcose to uptown

I voted for the Northshore. Access for, hopefully, an increasing fan base in the region. An expansive facility that doesn't have to be stuffed into a small tract of land (parking, adjacent facilities).

I'm sure there are cons, economic and otherwise. Support for such a facility in "the middle of nowhere" is probably one. Just off the top of my head I'd probably counter that with the note that it would be between two metro areas for concerts and whatever else. There's no telling what economic development would come to Tangi and surrounding parishes because of it. Heck, Orlando wasn't exactly booming back in the day and Disney was built on a swamp. I don't wanna rub salt in the season ticket sales wound, but me thinks such a place could probably top the current 35-45,000.

I voted Superdome although I don't necessarilly mean stay in or rebuild the dome. Riverfront would be second. One of the best things about games in NO is leaving the game and going straight back to burbon street or the market area or whatever. It's all pretty much walking distance. That's great for NO. Build it elsewhere and the city loses a lot of that. I think that's more important that a potentially better site (access-wise) on the northshore or wherever.

I've Heard.....
 

I've heard talk of the Saints building a new stadium just outside of New Orleans in Slidell, where I-10 & 12 meet. The reasons given were the availablity of land, the great access by multiple interstates, higher elevation, and close proximity to the city of New Orleans.
A great deal of NFL teams do not play in the city that they are named for, in fact the Jets and Giants do not even play in the state they are named for, they play in New Jersey.
