It’s blatantly obvious now that Jameis has been having 150 yard games because that’s the game Payton is calling. Idk what the **** he’s thinking at times.

Facts.

Trautman > Hill > Lattimore

Perspective - watched the Saints play lousy at home, but was in my home with power, HVAC, and I'm throwing a Steak and Sweet Potatoe on the grille...

Y'all have a good one...

Yeah, not sure but hard to argue….but I would also add there’s been a couple of games worth of video which I’m sure the competition is watching every day. Youngster (Adebo) is now on film.

When our offen finally gets going the defense lays a an egg then the offense joins in on the fun

If Winston would have thrown that BS Int that Hill did we would
never had heard the end of it.

I’m not sure I want to be on this roller coaster ride. If we had a young QB with years left on his deal then ok… we’d just be going through growing pains. Jameis is a lame duck QB who doesn’t appear to be worth re-signing. So then what? Start all over again next season?

Re: Saints vs Giants Game Day Thread

Offense needs to score more than 21 points in today's NFL.
That's on SP, Jameis and the Offense.

Defense was atrocious by the sounds of it.

That's why I didn't buy gamepass this year. I had a feeling Jameis would be an up and down project for a year, didn't really fancy getting annoyed about it and paying to watch lol

It’s clear that he doesn’t trust him passing the ball. He’d rather call trick plays for his boy…

Seems like Payton only has a issue if Jameis throws a duck. Late and a terrible throw. Then he runs the same play with him RPO addition sane thing? Payton and Dennis lost this one

If we’re a .500 football team with Jameis playing conservatively then f*** it… let him be a gunslinger. We aren’t going anywhere anyway playing .500 ball.

Re: Saints vs Giants Game Day Thread

Sean is going to have to let his players play. Taysom works when the defense is on their heels. Let Kamara and the offense open that up

Re: Saints vs Giants Game Day Thread

Put Hill in, at least he is a threat to score with his legs. We know what we will get with Winston. Run, run, 3rd and long- check down.

Doesn't work as a primary offense or else he would be the starter.

dizzle88 10-03-2021 03:30 PM

Re: Saints vs Giants Game Day Thread

Giants scored 17 unanswered points.

Defense was bad, Offense has to answer and at least do something.

Give Taysom a chance, then Ian Book if Taysom stinks up the joint.

Dak had 4 TD’s for 188 yards in a win. Nothing but praise for him from the media.

winmill1 10-03-2021 03:30 PM

Re: Saints vs Giants Game Day Thread

Taysom Hill 3-1 as starter. Winston 2-2. It already worked

LivnaLieTimay 10-03-2021 03:30 PM

Re: Saints vs Giants Game Day Thread

I don’t have that high expectations for the offense. This offense is so one dimensional right now. We need MT back and he needs to be healthy. That’s our only hope that maybe he can open up the offense.

The defense was a major disappointment today

They can’t be watching the games, or at the very least, can’t analyze what their watching.

Because Dak can sling it and produce the numbers when other areas falter.

Jameis cannot.

Taysom probably can't either.

While I agree that cautious Jameis isn’t working, Taysom led the league in fumbles when he was starting. Plus, he doesn’t throw with any anticipation.

Did Jameis not throw for 5,000 yards?

Years ago he certainly did. He looks like he's forgotten how to play now though.

Re: Saints vs Giants Game Day Thread

Payton is so caught up in preserving his legacy, in trying to turn Winston’s career around TD/INT that his conservative garbage is turning this team into a festering steaming pile of deer crap. Better to keep the reins on Jameis than to trust him down the field.

It looks like he’s playing the game the way his coaching is telling him to play. His coach is calling a conservative game. When he’s allowed to stretch the field he’s been successful.

Two beautiful TD passes. Unfortunately, good ole Trautman had to hold…but it’s Winstons fault…no turnovers but he is the reason…SMH…

Can't analyze, ha. No, I am analyzing that our offense is inconsistent and we are a quarter through the year.

FWIW, at his current pace Jameis is projected to have 30 TD’s and 8 INT’s.

You could tell it wasn't our day when Saquon literally threw the ball on the turf mid run and there was not a Saints defender within 10 yards of it, so the Giants just scooped it up.

If you don’t want to be on “this roller coaster ride”’then I’m sure there is room on other team’s bandwagons. And while I’m at it, kiss my rear to those that don’t bye into the “don’t eat the cheese” narrative. If you don’t think that players get caught up in that and feed off that line of thinking then you aren’t paying attention. I’m glad all you here who thought this would be an easy game and didn’t think that attitude would carry over to the team are happy eating cheese right now.
