Saints vs Washington pre-game thread
 

In Week 5, the Saints (2-2) meet the Washington Football Team (2-2) at FedEx Field in Maryland to find out who will be below .500 after it's all said and done. New Orleans is coming off a very shocking home loss to the Giants, while Washington beat the Falcons after rallying from a 30-22 deficit in the fourth quarter to win in the game's final minute.

Washington is 8-5 at home against New Orleans in the all-time series, with them blowing out the Saints in their last meeting in 2015. Of course, that game spelled the end of Rob Ryan as defensive coordinator, as the 47-14 defeat brought up so many issues with that particular team. Here's a few things we're watching when Sunday rolls around.

Funny thing about my fantasy football league - we have a Giants fan and a Redskins fan in our league. Last week I played the Giants fan and this week I play the Redkins fan. I of course am a Saints fan. Funny how the schedule mimicked real life!

Winston was 17/22 (73% comp) 226 yards / 1 TD & 0 ints vs the Giants ... probably his best game as a Saint thus far + he's starting to gel with Harris/MC & Stills.

Is he costing us games? Why on earth would CSP bench him? You want Taysom in FT as QB? Ian Book perhaps?

Thirty3 has been dogging Winston all along and has stated that Winston will get benched for Hill. The truth doesn't matter.

K, it don’t matter if he post a perfect qb rating the rest of this year. Some on here just don’t want him as qb for whatever reason but it’s ridiculous. If he was throwing ints left and right fine, but he’s not. But he’s damned if you do, damned if you don’t. I’ll say this again, if Hill was that damn good as some claim. He would of been starting qb, plain and simple

As they say everyone has their opinion and Lord knows you aren't changing it.
The Giants game was on the Coach's especially on DA. That Kid Jones passed for 402 yards and 2 TD's,
another breakout game for an underachieving QB.
Not sure how to blame that on Jameis, I didn't recall see him playing in the defensive backfield.

At times Danny Dimes had as much as 5.5 seconds to go through his progressions. Corners can only cover for so long.

Heinieke (sp) can scramble & is pretty accurate when he has time. Terry McLaurin (WR) is a solid target too. Keep your head on a swivel with Chase Young coming off the edge. CSP is career 3-4 vs Washington winning the last two games.

I'm hopeful our pass rush performs better on Sunday.

Truth? What truth. That he had one game as good as Hills four games? The truth is he sucked for the first 1 and 3/4 quarters which allowed NYG to hang around and gain confidence. I haven’t dogged him badly. Just pointed out obvious flaws and why he is not the best QB on the roster. WHAT IS THE TRUTH ABOUT HIS POSITION LEAGUE STANDING AGAIN???

Winston is the 4th rated QB in the NFL through four games. You are blind, my friend. Blinded by what I am not sure. And if you honesty believe Hill is a better QB you know very little about the game.

Just face the truth that you have a personal hatred for the man. What that hatred is based upon is your issue. But it is unfounded.

When a debate is being lost out come the personal attacks. HATE? You don’t know me. Winston sucked in Tampa as a Player and he sucks - so far- in New Orleans. I haven’t one time attacked him personally. I’ve only pointed out his shortcomings in regards to football necessary skills.

How did he suck in Tampa? He was stuck in offenses that demanded taking chances. He led the NFL in total passing in 2019. That doesn't suck. He was second in TD's. That doesn't suck. He has passed for more yardage and TD's than 99% of QB's that have ever played in the NFL in his first five years. That doesn't suck.

Accurately define those shortcomings you claim. I emphasize "accurately".

Oh, he sucked in Tampa. At the very least his decision making sucked. I did not want him initially but he's put in so much work that I'm pulling for him. I have given up on Hill as a QB as he's not a viable option.

I always thought they came in at Reagan it's 25 minutes from there to Fedex Field.
I also think they probably came in earlier today and are at a Hotel in Landover.
