#Saints K Cody Parkey, who injured his groin pregame and tried to kick through it, is going on Injured Reserve,
source said. New Orleans will need a new kicker.

Good thing we got the bye week, maybe Lutz will be ready.
If not, gives Kmajor time to go to Baltimore and grab Jake Verity..

Lol. Underhill tweeted that Verity is hurt but the Saints had interest.

Meanwhile we signed another guy today off the Bears practice squad.

IMO Lutz isn’t close to returning.

The Saints signed Brian Johnson off the Bears' practice squad Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Because he was poached from another organization's practice squad, Johnson must remain on the Saints' active roster for at least three games. With that in mind, New Orleans -- which is on bye Week 6 -- presumably plans on having Johnson serve as its kicker through at least the Week 9 game against the Falcons. Johnson, an undrafted rookie out of Virginia Tech, played for the Bears during the preseason and knocked down both of his field-goal attempts, including one from 54 yards. He could end up holding down the Saints' kicking job until the team is confident top option Wil Lutz is ready to return from injured reserve after having been sidelined all season while recovering from core-muscle surgery. Cody Parkey, who will be placed on IR on Tuesday, could also be an option to kick for the Saints later in the season if he returns before Lutz and if Johnson doesn't impress.

This is not quite correct. As a practice squad acquisition he is required to receive three weeks pay whether or not he is on the roster for those three weeks. They can cut him at any point, but he still gets the pay.

I heard he was on the Highway to Hell in his career. But he’s happy to be Back in Black. Some of his kicks have a Touch too Much. But he’s always been willing to let the Money Talk!

If he can replace Bon Scott then he should have no problem replacing Wil Lutz (at least temporarily)

Anybody know what Morten's been up to, glad you asked. He just happened to be out in the sand in Grand Isle State Park. And you guessed it kicking FG's to nowhere, kind of sad but he did say to call him. You know 800-CHA-CHING
but that's too many numbers, he said not to worry they'll put us through.
