I appreciate JW's improvement this season, notably ball control, seeing him going through his progressions, willingness to take a sack, throw it away, willing to run it when it's nothing there, and willingness to take the a HIT while running (though I don't want this last to be the norm!) I'm optimistic for the position. We may not top the peak this year but I think Sean and the staff will get the most out of JW and it may give us another ring next year or two.

I'm thinking that we'll see a similar situation with Winston that we'd seen with Bridgewater. Payton will coach him up to a higher level and another team (the Lions maybe?) will spend money to make their QB situation better.

That said, Winston has impressed me with his apparent humility this year and has done a good job as the Saints QB.

I hope he works out and he is our future. He has done great with all the injuries especially without one of the top 3 recievers in the NFL. Not to mention the best tackle in the NFL when healthy.

I'm proud of this young man and the way he has dedicated himself to taking coaching to heart. I see him growing and playing better. I'm not sure if Winston is the answer, although I hope he is. If he leaves like Bridgewater did then he is better off with having had solid coaching from Payton.
My hope is that he is able to assimilate the massive amounts of information and process it efficiently like Drew. However, I doubt that anyone could ever do that. It's why he's a first ballot Hall of Famer.

I can envision Winston leading this team for several good years and that's what I'm hoping for from this young man. I can't wait for Monday to see if he's got more touch when need on shorter throws.
