Sunday will mark the fourth meeting between the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the last 13 months. The last matchup left a bitter taste in the Saints' collective mouths in January, but can the Saints pull off the upset on Halloween?

Both teams are dealing with multiple injuries to multiple starters entering Sunday afternoon's games, but have found ways to win despite the setbacks. For the Bucs, almost their entire secondary along with some offensive weapons have sustained injuries, while the Saints are just starting to get healthy, with Deonte Harris practicing on Thursday. But the status of Taysom Hill, Michael Thomas and others is unknown at this point.

The Saints enter this game after an ugly Monday night win over the Seahawks, 13-10, where the receiving core for the Black and Gold had their worst game to date. The defense continues to play exceptionally well, only giving up more than 22 points twice this season, both resulting in losses. Jameis Winston will also be the starting quarterback against his former team for the first time in his career.

Sean Payton trotted out a “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” reference when I asked him about Jameis Winston’s revenge game Sunday against Tampa Bay.

The Bucs, on the other hand, have remained steady and consistent on offense, and even with the losses in their secondary, they've only given up more than 30 points in a game once, in their loss to the Rams. Tom Brady is on pace for another MVP-esque season but looks to bounce back against a Saints team that forced him into five turnovers in two regular-season games last season.

Numbers to Know

2: Two of the New Orleans Saints starters spent multiple years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers organization. Jameis Winston, who was selected number one overall to the Bucs in 2015, spent his first five seasons with the team, while Kwon Alexander spent his first four seasons with the Bucs.

7: Head coach Sean Payton will be looking to win his sixth straight regular-season game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which would be one win shy of tying the longest win streak over the Bucs in Saints history. Payton is 18-10 as a Saints head coach against the Bucs in the regular season (0-1 in playoffs).

9: Between head coaches Bruce Arians and Sean Payton, the two coaches have a combined 24 years of head coaching experience, and as a collective have nine seasons of 10 or fewer wins in a season, which is an impressive feat. Payton has failed to eclipse 10 wins only five times, while Arians has failed to do so four times.

Re: Saints vs Bucs Game Day Thread

I've got a really good feeling about this game and I'm putting my money where my mouth is in fantasy ...
Starting the Saints defense (over the Bills defense, gut is telling me Tua and Dolphins will do much better this time)
Starting Ingram

Have a feeling we will play at a level not seen since week 1 vs Packers.

We can't say CSP isn't giving Kevin White more opportunities to make plays.
