The big IF - Drew Brees

Maybe a 0.000001% chance but if the team keeps winning any chance he comes in for a playoff run?

They just asked him at halftime of the SNF game. He made a joke about it, but he's not coming back.

He could break some of Tom Brady's records though.

No way he'd risk his new hair.

Yeah no way he's putting the pads back on. That's crazy talk.

Drew Brees missed four games in the Saints' 2020 season due to 11 cracked ribs and a collapsed lung,
but those were just the injuries that were made public. According to a post from Brees' wife, Brittany,
he was also fighting through major foot and shoulder injuries throughout the year.Jan 20, 2021

The guy was a warrior. I wish he could come back for a better last season. He deserved better.

The media coverage would blow up if he came back and played for $1!

Probably one of the smartest QB's that ever played the game..

TBH, if Tampon is not allowed to play the illegal press (PI) defense, and roughing the QB defense like they tried yesterday for a while, we get past them for a third time and just maybe we win one more Tiffany.

Supposedly Phillip Rivers let it be know that he was staying in football shape in case someone came calling I think that's a more realistic come back. That being said I think we stay in house.

No.

There is the day to hang it up.
He did.
Injuries( minus the ones we did not know about) age ( still young enough), wife, 4 kids, hosting for NBC ( nice, fat contract).

No.
He made the right call at the right time.

I’m seriously all in on Rivers. I think he has a year or two left. Great Qb stuck in a ****ty franchise. Probably one of the most underrated Qb’s of all time. Don’t think for a minute phone calls haven’t been made.

To do what exactly?

Re: The big IF - Drew Brees

Rivers was asked if he'd consider joining the Saints and he said he would IF they gave him a call.

I wouldn't be mad but I'd be surprised if the Saints reach out to PR.

Always been a huge Rivers fan. He went to my school, NC State, and won the starting job right away there. The rest was history. It would be a dream if he actually came to the Saints. I seriously doubt it will happen, but just great thinking about.

Don't forget he replaced Brees once before.

Re: The big IF - Drew Brees

Rivers has charisma and leadership and would be a much better fit for the locker room than Cam, who is an oddball. I like a lot of things about Rivers, I just have reservations about the idea of a rental QB.
