He should be glad he was in a running back rotation early on with the Saints or he'd be broken down by now. Isn't he 34? Isn't the shelf life of a running back like four or five years?

Average shelf life. Ingram is on 11... Emmitt Smith played 14, Marshal Faulk played 12, Barry Sanders 10,

He was a slow learner as a young Saint... and he had a few injuries early on. So his body has fewer miles on it than it would've had.

Ingram is 31. But the magic number for drop off is 30.

Now he's injured too. How much will it affect his game? I'm not sure. He couldn't have come back at a better time.
