You and me both. I’ve got kind of a funny story about the end of that game. I had been at a bar all game watching and drinking getting pissed all game by the way we were struggling. Right as the Saints are driving and getting close to taking the lead in the 4th Q a Pats fan comes in and sits next to me. Now I’ve got a Saints cap on and I’m stressed and focused on the game and obviously don’t want to talk to anybody. So what does this guy do?...sure enough, start up a conversation. He goes on about how the Saints “got this” game. I’m trying to be as polite as I can as a buzzed fan watching his team trying to claw back for a win and say something like “We’ll see. I’m just trying to focus on the game”. Doesn’t slow him down from trying to engage me. I start to feel the bad mojo radiating from the guy.

I never make eye contact with him and focus on the TV screen. Saints take the lead and he gives me the “I told you!” routine. I mumble something like “Lots of time left”. Sure enough , Saints lose and he says “I thought you guys had that”.

Now I’m a bit of a superstitious fan. When I watch their games on TV I like it quiet and I like to focus. I turn off the sound because announcers suck. I don’t even like watching Saints games with my wife because if things go bad I tend to blame people I’m watching with. So, I turn to this guy and say “F$&k you dude!” and walk out the bar (I had already paid the tab). Later on I was pissed about the loss and upset at myself for what I said to the guy.

I was watching the Titans game at the same bar on the same TV (different seat) and the same guy walks in. We make eye contact...and he went to sit on the other side of the room.

We are the New Orleans Saints, this is what we do.
Our game was a plan to keep Matty Ice in the league.

The Falcons make history again in predictably hilarious and sad fashion
a
That’s the first team in well over a decade to have three different players throw interceptions in a single game. That’s the first team to have three quarterbacks do so since 2000, when Jim Harbaugh was a quarterback and not a coach. By the time Feleipe Franks threw his interception you just sort of had to laugh at how inept the offense was, but it’s sort of crushing that even in garbage time this team could not avoid turning the ball over. Atlanta has now thrown seven interceptions in their past two games.
That’s not all, though.

Schadenfreude, anyone?

Matty Ice knows our personnel well + he had 4+ seconds to go through his progressions. Zero pass rush in that game.

Dennis Allen's 2nd half "prevent" defense didn't help either.

But at the end of the day, it's a week-to-week league .. ahh, the beauty of the NFL.

ANY GIVEN SUNDAY.

I gave this a like Major and I agree with you. So I’m saying this as a Devil’s
Advocate position and not an argumentative one as I have been accused of at times, but the divisional opponent angle sometimes doesn’t add up. I don’t think GB is gonna lose to their divisional opponents and they (recently) normally don’t. Patriots with Brady same way. If you’re a better team with better players and better coaching then that divisional opponent issue should go out the window. Just a thought.

Bro! I almost spit out my coffee laughing! I'm the same way! I don't like being talked to. I don't like people even talking about the game. I usually have to stand and drink or pace and drink. Then I get all whacked out when something ****ty happens. I'll take ball caps off, flip them upside down and prop them in front of the tv, or I'll go change my socks or shirt. I'll change what I'm drinking. I'll even tell my wife or kids or buddies they have to leave the room if the Saints start playing ****ty after they come down to watch.

It's so stupid!! My wife and kids think I'm ****in nuts man!

Bahahahahaha!!!

Well, we hate them....they hate us just as much, rival game. been games like that for a lot of years with each team at times pondering this very query. sometimes it just doesn't make sense in these types of games, throw record, Vegas odds and home field advantage out the window. Ya just never know

I'm not very superstitious but I am unreasonably emotional when I watch the Saints play. I don't want some yutz talking to me when I have an exposed nerve out there.

Re: Question for the Forum

Our team is like a ferrari with patched tires and a leaky radiator. Any team can keep up with us if we don’t go at all, and that happens a lot with our receivers, qb situation, musical chair oline, and injuries.
