I was wondering that same thing while watching bits of the game last night. Poor kicking, poor defensive coverage, tons of drops and the general idea that Atl REALLY wants to beat the Saints when they play are the main factors IMO.

Plus that was Trevor’s first start for us I believe. We probably would have fairer better with Winston. Of course your question may have ben rhetorical.

Re: Question for the Forum

We played like a junior varsity team. The drops killed us.

Yes because Winston would've magically made the receivers catch the ball. And his presence in that game would've made the defense not take a huge dump.

I don't think he would've been a factor at all. The Saints played down to the opponent and got their ass beat like they deserved.

Maybe not. I was thinking the familiarity between receivers and the QB would have helped, but maybe not. If your point is that QB play certainly was not the reason for the loss then I agree.

Divisional opponent.

Matty Ice knows our personnel well + he had 4+ seconds to go through his progressions. Zero pass rush in that game.

Dennis Allen's 2nd half "prevent" defense didn't help either.

But at the end of the day, it's a week-to-week league .. ahh, the beauty of the NFL.

ANY GIVEN SUNDAY.
