How about stopping the opposing team on third downs? Would that help?

By Kick-Off time all you'll see is Black Jerseys out there you'll think your watching the Saints but you won't be sure. |

Passes that don’t quack and hands that do not spasm on contact. A little bit of discipline and a lot fewer penalties. We look like sh1t and do not tell me that starters are out, with the exception of QB and Center all starters generally rotate with the person that is starting for them now.
If you can not survive past your starting lineup in the NFL you shouldn’t be there. |

Re: WHAT CAN POSSIBLY MAKE THIS A WINNING THANKSGIVING?
I always have and always will expect the very best when it comes to my Saints whether or not others feel it is realistic. Is this somehow wrong? I have never gone into a Saints game since 1967 thinking that the Saints were going to lose. I am usually able to accept the fact when they do not, but I see nothing to gain by having the expectation.

Same. Its why I want to see Book. It has nothing to do with diminished hope. For me its looking forward. I'm old enough to remember Troy Aikman getting the hell kicked out of him his rookie year. 1 win. It. Was. Brutal.
Put the kid in. Under pressure. If he sucks or is overwhelmed put Taysom or Trevor back in. Preach it to the team so they rally around the kid. Let him play it out the rest of the way. Jameis is your starter next year unless this kid pulls a Brady or a Delhomme or even a Brooks. If he's competent at all you know our fans will get behind him. We are starving for a leader. I would be blown away if Coach actually did it, but I wouldn't be mad at him if he did. I fully expect we're about to drop at least one of our next two. I'd say we will be expected to lose 2 of our next three. If that plays out, maybe Sean would consider it. Look, we had a WR over the middle...Calloway against Slay I think. Good ball and good coverage. Thomas would have caught it. Colston would have caught it. Irvin would have caught it. Calloway is an NFL WR, but he's not one of those kinds of receivers. That's why he didn't catch it. Brees would have led him a little more. It would have been an even better ball, but still good coverage and I swear Calloway would still drop it. It's why you pay MT a lot more than you pay Calloway. Book doesn't fix that. We don't have anybody on the roster that'll fix that. These guys will flash. Hope springs eternal. We drafted the kid. Put him in and keep hoping. |
C'mon Man...
