I don't think anyone outside the front office would have imagined we were going there. There were a lot of surprised folks out there and I was certainly one of them. I'm pulling for the front office to draft a tackle in the first round. You win in the trenches and our drafting history indicates that doing this helps the QB and RB proliferate. We have had one of the best O-lines and D-lines in the NFL in recent memory thanks to first round picks on the big uglies. Yes, we missed on Pete and possibly Ruiz, but our line coach is going to change things up to suit their skills best. I read somewhere where he will change the blocking scheme in the offseason.
