Did the Lions have 3 incompetent back ups on the oline starting?

MWilliams and Jenkins gotta have the game record for most missed tackles.

Urgency and execution need to be stressed for the rest of the season

Too many needs to draft them all in the first three rounds.

If we can't get some of the starters back we are wasting our time.

I don't need to see ANOTHER snap from Trevor decision making is average Taysom Hill against whomever for the rest of the season

Trubisky's in the game, Siemian is washed, Hill's foot is borked and Book is in the doghouse. Optics on this are not good.

Saints have to make better depth decisions. Having a poor back up is just as important.

You can't lose that many starters and have many expectations. But we were really never in this game. The last few at least we were competitive.

The effort has to be better next Thurs vs Dallas. They are way more explosive than Buffalo.

If Taysom is half way healthy, he needs to play. Enough of the Trevor show.

If Hill is still banged up, you wonder why not bring in Rivers. At least we would have something to cling to before all the wheels fall off the Bus.

The coaching was hardcore vanilla, the effort was preseason-like. I feel like we should have just forfeited the game. Might have been more cowardly, but at least it would have been more honest.

Don't think that would ever happen, the show must go on as they say.

Good thing I had an incredible Thanksgiving with family, because this game was quite a disappointment. Tough to watch the team playing this poorly. HaI know injuries are no excuse, but man, half the team is out.

At this point I doubt Rivers would sign; the Saints have to be close to being mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.

Just have to put it in prospective, injuries are not an excuse they are a factor.
When the overwhelming factor has half the team watching the game from the sidelines you got big problems.
For the Bills if Allen gets hurt and out of the game and Trubisky takes over it's a major factor.
Remember it started with Thomas out for the season than Winston.
But it hasn't stopped our guys have gone down like flies in a D-Con factory.

That's what I was just thinking, Rivers has seen this scenario before and our O-line
probably scared him back to his senses.

Re: Saints vs. Bills Gameday Thread - Happy Thanksgiving

I just know in the offseason we need to draft at least 2 WRs and bulk up the O-line. I don't know if Trevor is the guy or not, I still haven't lost faith. I'm not going to say he's a problem until I at least see him on the field with some ok talent. We can't run the ball, our receivers take some of the weirdest approaches to the football I've ever seen. I remember that pass to Montgomery that was a long pass off his finger tips... I don't know why the hell he approached the ball that way. I think Winston, Trevor, Hill... no matter who played the same result would have happened today because we have nothing on offense. A 17 game season and an extra teams in the post season makes things very different as far as the win-loss required to make it to the post season. We could theoretically get in with 8 losses. I don't see us having 8 or less though cause our offense is so bad. Fans just want to throw everything on Trevor and I don't think you can truly blame him for what is transpiring. We could have prime Brady and our offense probably wouldn't be doing much. Those talking about Rivers, he may sign if he has an amazing life insurance policy.

Trevor stinks. He's 0-4 as a starter so far and has played poorly in 3 of those games. Nothing more than a career backup. He is not going to give you anything.

If you care about winning another game this season, you hope that Taysom is the starter vs Dallas next Thursday.

I was just hoping to see Taysom under center before I read this reply.

That said, neither Taysom nor Rivers under center addresses the issue of stone hands.

Rivers disinterest would be less to do with our record and more to do with the drops.

Re: Saints vs. Bills Gameday Thread - Happy Thanksgiving

Trevor started well his first game. I think he is easy to gameplan against. He certainly has missed quite a few open receivers, but we aren't catching easy passes let alone passes that can make a QB have a successful completion rating. IMO, Hill won't be able to sustain.

Defense is hit and miss as well! Kicking is bad. The on field leadership since Brees left is lacking.

It is frustrating for us fans but it is a reality. Look at the W/L records in the NFL so many teams at 500 or close to it.
