Before the finger, Hill wasn't doing bad as a passer. I know everyone wants to throw him to the wolves right now, but I don't know many QBs that could've thrown the ball worth a **** with a torn lig and a splint on his finger od the throwing hand.

I'll reserve my critique on him when he can play without a splint at least.

We've already seen Siemian at QB, in some way I want Book to play but in another way, this team is such a mess that he would have zero chance at success.

Very rarely saw the Taysom smirk last night and you had to know he was hurt. Even after that run where he hurdled a guy. Credit to Taysom for being tough and gutting it out.

Injuries are not all luck. Some players just know how to protect themselves better and have stronger bones and more elastic tendons and stronger joints. Hill has been injured frequently at both the college and pro level in many different ways that all seem like bad luck but just keep happening. Another player might have then awareness to see that helmet out of the corner of their eye when throwing, turn a shoulder to the targeting defender just before a hit, come down a little surer to protect their foot. It can’t be taught or quantified but I think it exists. A string of random injuries in college is often indicative of a string in the pros. Players who faced inferior competition at small school in college where they were a man among boys seem to have higher injury risk in the pros due to durability not truly being tested in college. If injuries were just bad luck, they wouldnt keep happening, much like our bad officiating.

Salient points.

It's why we love the guys that go all out. The Colorado Avalanche had a phenomenal player that couldn't help himself when it came to playing aggressive hockey. Peter Forsberg would mix it up with any player out there and would subsequently get injured.
As the Saints starting QB, Hill shouldn't be leaping over defenders when he scrambles but I sure do enjoy watching him do it...unless he becomes injured.
The very thing that makes you laugh will make you cry.

I still don't get why when Sean knew Taysom's finger was torn up on his throwing hand,
why he didn't bring Trevor in. He could have kept Taysom in the game as a running back or blocking back.
I'm starting to think the Great Wizard of Offense is losing his grip.
