Re: How can Saints make playoffs? Breaking down the scenarios, key tiebreakers

Meanwhile it appears Trey Lance starts (Jimmy G still isn’t practicing) on Sunday. Vikings & Niners are trying HARD to help a injury riddled team (Saints) squeak into the post season. The NFL is crazy. It’s gonna basically come down to the final week with the playoff seedings. |

But the Braves could field the ball better than most. They could hit the ball well enough. Their bullpen was outstanding. The play calling was uncanny. The Saints excel on defense but are a complete wreck right now on offense. We can blame injury. We can blame Covid. Maybe we should have opened it up more with Jameis from the start...but then again was anybody open? I believe we should acknowledge this offense wasn't right this season. Ever. If we stagger into the playoffs who knows? Covid is the great equalizer. I'm just not sure how I'd feel about winning that way. |
