Typical, start a thread that shouts the greatness of a player and earlier in the year say this: Cam Jordan, also a post 1 June move of trade or cut, would save $13.9M...

I wonder if Cam would rework his contract to be more team friendly? That's an awful lot of money for a player his age. He came back strong after his Covid. I guess the break did him good. Do we need to reduce his snaps a little next year? Maybe Payton Turner, last years first round pick, will actually see the field next year. Why do our DE's take so long to develop? Davenport is an excellent example of this. Was he another reach from our recent top draft picks like Peat and Ruiz?

Most players are more than willing to rework contracts to free cap because it means more money to them in the long run. They can convert his $13.6 million base salary into a signing bonus and extend his contract even further with additional guarantees.
