Well. According to a research paper, he could return to the NFL. But ..........
"More than 90% of NFL athletes who sustained Lisfranc injuries returned to play in the NFL at a median of 11.1 months from time of injury. Offensive and defensive players experienced a decrease in performance after return from injury"

I sure hope it's not a Lisfranc injury.

Its likely only ligament related if he injured it on that foot plant. I had a pretty bad Lisfranc injury from a fall that put me in a boot and crutch for about 6 weeks and was pain free in about 4 months. His didn't look as bad as that but we shall see.

Retire for what? He has played with a torn plantar fascia coming into this game. He could come back next week with pain control.

Lisfranc is different. He’s done for the season.
