Let's hope he keeps that wiring directed toward opponents rather than teammates (ie. Michael Thomas). Apparently that's all cool now and I believe he learned his lesson. I suspect the clubhouse leaders may have tinkered with his wiring a bit over that.

Thomas was suspended for that altercation, not Ceedy. Brees was quoted as saying about Thomas, We had an incident, and Sean (Payton) addressed it. And many of the leaders have spoken with Mike as well.

I know you always rush to defend CGM and have no problem with how he handled his injury, but it Sounds like Thomas had his wiring screwed up over that incident, not Ceedy. Of course Guido blocks me so he wont see this reply! 😂

Translation of what Guido said: I posted something that did not really jive with the information we know and Boston pointed it out (something I would often do to him and still do as often as I can to other users on this site). I cant handle being wrong or corrected, so rather than say hes right and concede a point I better find a way to deflect his point and make it about him attacking me. Thats why I block him; I cant handle him pointing out my mistakes.

A question for anyone who reads this above post from Guido. Does it not sound like he believes Ceedy was in the wrong in regards to his fight with Thomas? Maybe Im wrong but thats the way it reads to me.

We all know that Gardener-Johnson is the type of player you love to have on your team, but opposing fans hate him. I used to watch NCAA tourney games with my late father-in-law. He was a renowned high school coach here in Louisiana (won two state championships with Minden High and is in the Louisiana High School Hall of Fame - 1988) and knew a tremendous amount about coaching. I commented about a Duke player that always seemed to get under opposing players' skin. He said he didn't have much of a problem with it unless it caused a problem with his teammates. He implied he'd dealt with it before in his heyday and set the players straight.

That's my take on Ceedy. He just needed to learn when and where and with whom. From what I read after the incident he was calling Thomas "slant boy". Thomas should never have let it get to him. I'm sure he learned from it, as well.

Steve Smith of the Panthers. I'm sure the Panthers fans loved him, but I was dying to see him get knocked into next season every time he played the Saints.
