As I've stated weeks ago, there is 33-year-old Demario, 2nd year Pete Werner (recovering from groin injury) & then it gets really dicey after that.

Too bad we didn't take a flyer on Anthony Barr.

Linebacker is definitely a position where adding a vet for depth purposes wouldn't hurt. 17 games + the possibility of post-season is an absolute grind.

Of those in for a workout, Hitchens would be my choice. Kiko knows the system but hasn't played football in several seasons.

And I haven't read or heard a single word about any of the rookies in training camp, unfortunately.

Correct. I like Jackson but it could take some time.

Meanwhile, it's been reported that the Saints will sign Kiko in the near future.

Looks like it's official now. Alonzo would be a perfect player to rotate on and off the roster as needed throughout the season. He already knows the scheme. He should clear waivers along the way.

Insurance only. Possibly never sees the field. We'll spend so much time in nickel and dime that we'll only have two LB's at the most on the field at a time. That doesn't require a ton of depth there I wouldn't think.

Who's better... Kwon or KiKi ?

Tough one.

Both are injury prone & Kiki hasn’t played football in 2 seasons .

I’d probably take KA, simply because he’s better than Kwon in run support. I now see a report where the Saints were interested in Kwon but in a reduced role. Easy to see now why he signed with the Jets.

Anyways, I hope KA is healthy & can shake off the rust :bng:

Great three minute video on the Saints here. Check it out. Much more than just how great Thomas looks.
