Well, under Payton we had a habit (at least perceived) of letting rookie/inexperienced QBs come in and do well against us. The list is long. Let’s hope it doesn’t continue against Allen.

The one team I'm sick of losing to is the Eagles.

Jalen Hurts is not a good QB, all he has is the read option. He's a shorter Taysom Hill and somehow has made the D look silly the last 2 years in a row.

That honestly baffles me considering how well we do against top tier QB's

Perfect example. Totally agree about Hurts. Didn’t RG3 kick our ass in his
first start ?

I'm beginning to question my 11-6 predicted record the more I read and gather information. Marcus Maye will miss several games which means there will be a lesser player out there. When Maye gets back he will have to integrate into the system. Cohesiveness takes a lot of time. Don' get me wrong I like PJ Williams a lot but I don' think I'd be comfortable with him as a starter.

I'm a little worried about Jameson's knee. Last years line was atrocious at allowing free runners to the QB. Not only that l wonder how long it will take for him to get comfortable wifh an accurate quick check down or being able to throw the deep ball with a bum knee.

Running back has me uneasy to. Ingram looks heavier and slow footed. He is 33 l think. Kamara won't be available for nearly a third of the season unfortunately and l have no reason to feel good about the rest of the RB room either.

Of course a big question mark is the O-line. Nonetheless l still feel good about beating the Vegas odds.

Winston is getting comfortable with that knee already and has another eight weeks or so. Between now and then he'll have thrown thousands of passes. As for the o-line, you mentioned cohesiveness being important for the secondary. It is arguably more important for the offensive line. Last year's o-line was the poster child for lack of cohesion due to four of the five starters missing significant time. It's performance was a total anomaly. To be fair, no projection based upon last year's line's performance can be very reliable. In fact, I've heard o-line rankings having the Saints as high as top five!

You are right that Maye may miss three games, but they have postponed his next hearing until August 24th. It could be later in the season before any suspension is finally handed down. Hopefully he'll start the season and the secondary can gel early.

I understand your concerns, my friend, but I believe you are giving the team a little less credit than they deserve.
