A couple of points to note in this case are that there are four defendants, Kamara and three others and that there are two separate charges being considered, one a misdemeanor and the other a felony. The misdemeanor is for simple assault while the felony deals with serious bodily harm (a fractured orbital). Assault would be fairly straight forward, but to pin the felony charge on Kamara the prosecution would have to prove beyond a shadow of doubt that it was Kamara that fractured that orbital. It is rumored that the video shows Kamara landing eight punches. It is also rumored that the video shows the other defendants kicking and stomping on the head of the alleged victim. It can be suggested that the fracture more likely occurred during the kicking and stomping portion of the encounter.

As the previous interview with Drew Davenport points out, there hasn't been any movement since April with the State still not having brought forth official charges. While it is always prudent to have options in place, I have a feeling a Kamara suspension isn't going to be anything to be addressed this season.
