I would think it would be just the opposite. They would want the Saints to do well so they could say Payton was given too much credit.

Lord knows he wasn't the most popular coach among the media.

So far most of the main stream media that I have seen is somewhat neutral ~ slightly positive to our team. I don't think they give us enough credit, but when did they ever? I don't go long and far to see every opinion, admittingly so don't blast me with every Twitter or podcast opinions.

From what I've seen from the media - the only thing keeping them from hyping up the Saints from the roster side is the QB position, and specifically whether Winston can be a top tier QB.

Of course they also bring up Allen taking over as a question mark, but it's funny that they don't bring up that same issue with Bowles taking over in Tampa.

For what it's worth, I'm really liking Allen's composure and train of thought that have come across from his latest interviews.

Same guy wrote another article saying we're going to have an "elite defense" even better than it's been the last two years. Why wouldn't you "go all in" if you have a top three defense?

Uncle Keyshawn says in this video that nephew Michael Thomas is back "healthy" at the Saints' OTA's and "ready" to go. I tend to believe he knows a little more about Michael's status than most at this point. Or at least more than some are sharing.

Ok Guido. I’m wanting a genuine discussion here. I hope we see a healthy CGM. I hope he is 110% ready to go.

But when you say it is possible that Keyshawn knows more about Thomas’s status because he is close to him, Is it not equally possible to say that, because he is close to Thomas, that Keyshawn would want to put a positive spin on his status ?

No. The broadcast companies pay the bills. The total number of fans that are itching to know the accurate status of Michael Thomas' season prep couldn't scrap together enough capital to make a tiny ripple in that ocean full of revenue.
