Would he be strong safety or free safety? Maye was a Free Safety who lined up in the box who had terrific recovery, speed allowing him to move back into a single-high spot...

That's why some referred to Maye as a SS when he was really a FS as Jets Defense were masking their scheme; problem was they did it too often, so opponents were ready...

Well, it took awhile but the league finally got around to that suspension most of us knew was coming on Maye.

Oh well.

I will be curious to see how Woods/Allen use the young guys, Amadi and Howden while Marcus is out.

I'm just surprised that the league let us get to 2-0 before they suspended him. DA is gonna' need to get creative for the next few weeks. He may not be a top flight FS but he's better than anyone else we've got.

Actually, he's done a fine job this year. I seem to remember it taking quite a bit of time for the defense to gel last year with so many moving parts.

Well, you can't complain too much about the timing. We won 2 close games while his suspension was stalled, they don't get any closer than that, so there can't be any games worse for missing than the 2 he already didn't miss.
