Triplet is wrong on this one. The Saints have taken care of their players above and beyond. Salary cap maxed out or nearly maxed out means players are being paid. They have even paid incentive money to players WHO DID NOT REACH THEIR INCENTIVES but got close. ALMOST only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades etc... and the Saints management. This kind of national statement might hinder free agents from coming here. Retract that.
Now, you might find some players let go and money was mentioned but THERE WAS MORE TO IT THAN the management being cheap. PLUS there IS a limiter called salary cap. WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND LOOKING AT THE WIN LOSS RECORD OF THE SAINTS WOULD SAY THEY MADE POOR PERSONNEL DECISIONS? I remember Kuharic and decades of bad team management but not since Mickey Loomis. Insert raspberry here. |
