Not every case is the same - and if I didn't make it clear before, the GM in me is really frustrated we've got that much cap space committed to a player that's on the bench...
Specifics of the injuries aside, if you don’t see a difference in the way the two players and their camps have handled things then we aren’t gonna see things eye to eye. Winston has been open, communicative, enthusiastic and successful thus far in his rehab. Thomas has been the exact opposite of that. I wouldn’t be surprised if part of the reason Payton retired is he didn’t want to deal with the grief of his star diva WRs rehab and the hassle of his star RBs assault allegations.

All that said I hope Thomas played like he did in his record setting season and proves me wrong. Nothing would make me happier.
