There's really not a true starter at WR. The top three usually share duties fairly evenly. Landry was in on the first snap against the 49er's (thus the official starter) most likely because Shaheed had just returned the opening kickoff. Shaheed has more snaps than Landry over the past two weeks. We also ran the first play in "12" personnel with Hill and Johnson both in. Landry was in for 32 snaps, Shaheed 30, and Olave 38. Shaheed was also in on 8 special teams snaps.

Saints Starters vs 49er's

Andy Dalton QB
Alvin Kamara RB
Chris Olave WR
Jarvis Landry WR
Taysom Hill TE
Juwan Johnson TE
Cesar Ruiz OL
Andrus Peat OL
James Hurst OL
Ryan Ramczyk T
Josh Andrews G

The previous week they started in "13" personnel. Landry had 32 at WR and one on ST, Olave 28, and Shaheed 28 and 11 more with ST.

Saints Starters vs Rams

Andy Dalton QB
Alvin Kamara RB
Jarvis Landry WR
Adam Trautman TE
Taysom Hill TE
Juwan Johnson TE
Calvin Throckmorton OL
Cesar Ruiz OL
Landon Young T
Ryan Ramczyk T
Josh Andrews G

Get your playmakers more involved (LISTEN to the Ross Jackson video I uploaded) on Sundays was the reason for the bump. That is all.

Last time I checked the Saints are 4-8 & last in their respective division.

Insanity = doing the same thing over and expecting different results.

Stats/snap counts are irrelevant when you are losing.

And, thus, why I feel Carmichael needs to be replaced as play designer/caller and Dalton replaced as QB. It's one thing to want to run the ball, but it's another to run it when it's not working ... like on 2nd and long. Nick Underhill has documented Carmichael's tendency to run the ball more than any other team in the league in that situation. It's hard to get your playmakers involved then when it's 3rd and long and your QB can't make a secondary read.

Bump ...

Rashid dude. His Weber St game tape apparently didn't lie.

"The only difference between a 1st rounder and an undrafted guy is an opportunity".

Congrats on another TD catch vs Failures. A weapon in the making & his 2023 season will be even brighter :bng:

One last "bump" but worthy of praise.

Rashid Shaheed.

Final stats 2022/23 - 25 rec / 454 yards / 2 TD / avg 18.2

Oh and his stats in Philly -->> 6 receptions on 6 targets / 79 yards (13.2 avg). The 58-yarder catch pass was the long.

His future is VERY BRIGHT in New Orleans.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Jarvis.

Juwan and Callaway are RFAs
Harty likely gone.

And just like the previous two off-seasons, I'll be eager to see what happens with Michael Thomas.

I'm not advocating for a trade, just curious to see the impact.

POST-6/1 TRADE
2023 Dead Cap: $11,813,000
2024 Dead Cap: $13,639,000
2023 Cap Savings: $16,450,000

Speed, very good hands, knows how to get open, this guy could be very good for our team for years to come.

Take whatever you can get
He will never be worth that contract

30 when the new season starts, played in 10 games since the end of 2019 season. He needs to be part of a shedding of large vet contracts and getting younger and clearing as much cap as possible. Not redoing his deal adding void years and just extending whats turned out(Injury unforseen) to be a terrible deal.

Definitely an option.

I'd rather have him back and the $25 million of potential dead money actually getting something in return. Thomas, Olave, and Shaheed would be unstoppable.
