Question for you (or anyone else on B&G) :

Do you think Trevor starts by week #1? Or possibly later in the season? I know we only got a small sample size on last Saturday but the "real" (starters) DEs he'll be facing are no joke coming off the edge.

The season opener is a little less than a month away.

Penning has the talent to be our left tackle for the next decade.

He's obviously working on technique with great coaches around him and it seems like he's improving from what I've gathered.

If he can clean it up over the next two weeks, why not start him vs our first three division opponents

I’ve not seen the chargers preseason game, Only a few highlights and one clip
of Penning’s Injury. I’m not trying to beat a dead horse and I admit I only had a small video of it…but I really am scratching my head over what Johnson did on the play where Penning got hurt. Seems like Johnson didn’t even make contact with a charger…he simply launched himself at Penning’s back hip. It’s hard to see how Johnson could have NOT hurt Penning on that play. I’m not saying it was intentional but it looked almost negligent.

Sort of like not calling out a hard screen in basketball or not communicating on a fly ball in baseball; you make plays like that at high level competition and someone’s gonna get hurt. Just my 2cents and I welcome feedback.

Maybe some teammates put a bounty on him! Where the hell is Goodell on this?! There's a teammate issued bounty on our new guy for being too rough in practice!!!

Or maybe Hurst saw his play time deteriorating because he was injured and Penning was playing decent! So he paid Johnson to take him out!!!

Get the FBI! Get the CIA! Get Brandon on the line!!!!!

I've got my fingers crossed that he comes back this season and fully healthy. We need more nasty on the line. Ruiz and Peat don't have any fire at all.

He got in a fight at practice so I expect that when he is healthy we will trade him to Philly for a 5th round pick and loyal fans will insist they trust our front office.
